Can mnemonics be a song?

by Karina
(New York)

Hey guys,

Just wondering -- could a mnemonic be a song.

For example, I remember back in school (wow, the years have gone by) that we learned the months of the year by using a song. It went something like this:

January, February, March and April
May, June, July and August
September, October, November, December
These are the months of the year...

Would this be classified as a menmonic

Thanks you in advance,
Karina

Can mnemonics be a song? NEW
by: Ruby T. Constantine

A mnemonic is any learning technique that aids information retention. Mnemonics aim to translate information into a form that the brain can retain better than its original form.

Due to this statements you can classified
term paper for sale January, February, March and April
May, June, July and August
September, October, November, December
These are the months of the year...
as mnemonic.

Thanks!

Mnemonics are memory aids
by: Carla - (moderator)

They definitely can!
Mnemonics are basically memory aids.
If it helps you remember something, it's a mnemonic.
They have no limits but your imagination so go ahead and create one :)

As Carla said, they are simply a memory aid.
